Oven Fried Chicken

This is a quick and easy "oven-fried chicken".  This oven-fried method produces chicken that's wonderfully moist and crispy. The secret is in the mayonnaise and bread crumbs coating.
It's so simple to make and there's no oily mess to clean up too after cooking!

Ingredients:
1                       whole chicken ( skinned and cut into pieces )
can also use chicken thighs, breasts or drumsticks.
1 cup                dried bread crumbs
1 teaspoon       garlic powder
1 teaspoon       salt
1 teaspoon       ground black pepper
1 teaspoon       dried thyme / onion powder
1/2 teaspoon    paprika
1 cup                mayonnaise ( light)
1 tablespoon     milk

Method:
1.    Preheat oven to 175 degree C.
2.    In a bowl, mix together the bread crumbs, garlic powder, salt, pepper, thyme, paprika.
3.    Put into a resealable plastic bag.
4.    Coat chicken pieces with the mayonnaise and milk mixture.  Place chicken pieces into the
bag of bread crumb mixture and coat/ shake until well coated.
5.    Place chicken pieces in a lightly greased baking dish and bake about 45 minutes or until
       chicken is cooked through.

This is a certainly a great recipe if you are looking for "fried" chicken without all the fat!

Also a delicious and healthier way to serve the fried chicken . We have this in our salad for dinner every time we cook them.

Enjoy for a healthier lifestyle!
