Homemade Croutons
These croutons are very easy and inexpensive to make. Can be used to top green salads and garnish soup. Good way to use up stale bread too.
Ingredients:
- 15 slices bread ( preferably white bread)
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 2 teaspoons garlic salt
Method:
- Preheat oven to 175 degrees C.
- Remove crusts from stale bread slices. Brush bread with melted butter on both sides. Cut bread slices into small cubes. Sprinkle with garlic salt. Arrange cubes on ungreased pan.
- Bake for 15 mins or until golden brown and crispy. Let cool. Store croutons in a covered container.
This is a serving of salads top with the crunchy homemade croutons. My hubby's favourite!
